Low and zero carbon homes

Spatia is working with a specialist private markets investor keen to move to a more sustainable and inclusive economy through the delivery of sustainable homes. We are looking to buy brownfield land with, or without planning consent, to create at least 2,500 low (60% better than Building Regulations) and zero carbon homes over the next few years.

We are also keen to help support housing associations with their development programme and act as master developer on larger schemes.

Secured the first Build to Rent homes in Bristol

Spatia, is providing strategic advice to BBRC Homes, part of Bristol & Bath Regional Capital.

Focused exclusively on delivering high-impact housing schemes, including affordable homes, mixed communities, community-led housing, inter-generational living and key worker homes. BBRC is a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee. It is owned and supported by organisations including Bath Spa University, Bristol City Council, University of the West of England, John Pontin Trust, University of Bath and Voscur.

We are looking for land and buildings in Bristol, B&NES, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, either with or without planning, for developments of at least five homes and ideally 50 or more homes. 

We are also keen to talk to charities, Registered Providers and community groups who have land and buildings and require a trusted funding and development partner. There is cash in the bank, and we’re keen to acquire our first sites over the next three months so really like to hear from anyone with opportunities.

We have been responsible for the creation of over 700 new homes in city centre mixed-use developments, from luxury new waterside apartments for owner-occupiers to carefully-designed quality affordable homes for social rent or shared ownership. We have introduced the ‘Build to Rent’ concept to Bristol and in our schemes, created a range of homes designed to appeal to people from different walks of life, from young professional sharers to downsizers and families, taking into account their individual needs to create truly diverse communities.
